Myran was founded in April 2004 by the swede Martin Olofsson. The myran showroom presents the very best in Scandinavian design to architects, interior designers and private consumers, for residential as well as commercial environments.
Myran has a strong focus on the contemporary side of Scandinavian design, which is firmly based on the tradition from the modern Scandinavian designers like Alvar Aalto, Arne Jacobsen and Bruno Matthson, but with a new international outlook. Functionality is still important, but so is humour and experiments with new materials and techniques. Bentwood is good, but not God.
Myran collaborates with some of the most renowned Scandinavian furniture manufacturers like Swedese, Kallemo, Asplund, Lammhults, Bla Station, Hay, Bruno Mathsson International, David Design, Karl Andersson, Offecct, Nola, Materia, Klaessons, Skandiform and lighting producers Zero, Wastberg, Orsjo and Ruben.
Myran collaborates with more tha 50 suppliers of furniture and accessories, glass and table ware from for example MUUTO, Iittala, Stelton, Georg Jensen, Rosendahl, Holmegaard and Pia Wallen etc. We are happy to make an appointment with you to go through and help select a list of future or past design classics.
