Verner Panton designed his first chair, the Tivoli chair, for a restaurant in Tivoli, Copenhagen, in 1955.

In 2003 the chair was re-launched by Joakim Lassen and the Tivoli Lounge and Tivoli Bar were designed on the basis of Verner Panton’s written thoughts about other versions of the chair.
The Tivoli Chair is available in 12 colours and can be used on the terrace or in the garden.
The chair can be stacked on top of each other and can easily be moved in or out.
The Tivoli chair is hand-woven and 60 – 110 metres of string are used per chair. It takes a professional weaver approx. 1½ - 2 hours to make one chair.

The VP chair frame is made of polished stainless steel. The seat is handwoven polyurethane, which has a core of nylon. The structure of the strings may vary. The strings are UV protected but reservation regarding discoloration of the strings because of direct sunlight.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Colours: fjord, antracite, black, snow, coffee, latte, candy floss, red, royale, tivoli red, burma.
